A Case of Treatment of Angle¢¥s Classification Class ¥° Malocclusion

Abstract
There are two groups in Angle¢¥s classification Class I malocclusion. One is identified by denture base two small to accommodate the teeth in good alignment, whereas other is spaced, having a normal or excessive labial inclination of maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth. Spacing in the second type of Class I malocclusion may be caused by one or all of three factors: (1) it may be caused by diminutive teeth situated on normal denture base; (2) it may be the result of larger-than-normal dentre base containing teeth of normal mesiodistal width; (3) spaces between the maxillary or maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth may be caused by an excessive procumbency of these teeth where denture base are normal size.
The auther had attempted an orthodontic treatment of a Class I malocclusion having crowding in maxillary and mandibular anterior portion. He obtained good results in esthetics and functions with the fixed orthodontic appliance.
